F.L. Spinka
F. L. Spinka, also known as Frank, is the author behind the name Karl Ryan. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in speech education from Purdue University and obtained his Master’s in viral immunology from Iowa State University. Frank composed greyhound handicapping columns for the Arizona Republic newspaper, established morning lines for three tracks, and owned his own racing greyhounds. He served the Phoenix Police Department for 27 years. Frank is most satisfied with having lived through a love that many people can only hope for. In his early years, he managed to break out of a drab routine, travel, and have great adventures by reaching out to the people around him. These people made his story.
